Our Company Story
The business that became Corley's Pharmacy was founded in 1955 as Jaynes Drug Store in the Super Dollar Shopping Center on Snapps Ferry Road. In the early 1960's, it became Kay Drug Store under new ownership. In 1976, pharmacists Bill, Mareta, and Alan Corley purchased the struggling drug store and renamed it Corley's Pharmacy.
The pharmacy is currently in its fourth location on Snapps Ferry Road in a modern, professional, and spacious facility built in 2004.
From 1984 until 2000, a second Corley's Pharmacy was located in the Takoma Medical Group Building. When Mareta retired from practice in 2000, that pharmacy was closed and consolidated into the Snapps Ferry Road location.
As Bill and Mareta began looking toward retirement from the family business, pharmacist Robert McNeese, who had joined the team in 1999, assumed an ownership position in 2004. Pharmacists Jennifer Harrell (2004) and Matthew Seal (2007) are also full time pharmacists. A trained staff of certified pharmacy technicians, part-time pharmacists, customer service representatives, and a business manager round out our employee team.
In these more than 30 years of operation, Corley's Pharmacy has grown from a couple of employees to more than twenty. As you will see, we provide many health care services other than prescriptions. One thing that has not changed is our commitment to providing progressive, professional pharmacy services to our patients utilizing dedicated staff and the most current technology.
